Established in 1995, Celebrating Patsy Cline, Inc. (CPC), is a nonprofit corporation committed to its mission: “To Preserve and Perpetuate The Legacy of Patsy Cline and Her Music”.

At the core of a phased-in Winchester, Virginia presence, CPC is currently working to restore the Patsy Cline’s Historic House at 608 South Kent Street to its original appearance, circa 1950, when Patsy lived there with her mother and siblings.  The Historic House will portray the story of Patsy’s Winchester years, the lives of others associated with her, and events that were pivotal to her career.  CPC is presently raising funds to restore and interpret the Historic House and its grounds so it can be opened for public tours and special events.

Future plans include honoring Patsy Cline and her music through the establishment of a Patsy Cline Museum in Winchester, Virginia.  The museum will chronicle all of the milestones of Patsy Cline’s passionate and poignant life story. It will feature images, related sounds, and moving pictures of her era, creating both a soundscape and visual tapestry of her life and singing career.

• Celebrating Patsy Cline (CPC) acquires Patsy Cline’s house at 608 South Kent Street through contributions from the Adams family, Preservation of Historic Winchester, and an anonymous donor.
• Patsy Cline’s house at 608 South Kent Street is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register.
• City of Winchester presents grant funding to initiate conceptual plans and design work for a future Patsy Cline Museum.

• The CPC mission statement is ratified: “To Preserve and Perpetuate the Legacy of Patsy Cline and Her Music.”
• Legacy, Inc. (the organization Charlie Dick, Patsy Cline’s husband, established to administer the Patsy Cline Estate), formally confirms support to CPC’s mission.
• Content and conceptual designs of the future museum exhibits are complete.
• Legacy, Inc., and CPC jointly purchase Sam Hensley, Jr. Estate which contains personal and professional items of Patsy Cline.
• New York Times includes the future Patsy Cline Museum on its list of exciting planned new museum projects opening in the United States.
• Successfully completed Feasibility Study, indicating potential success of a capital campaign.
• Groundwork is laid for launching of a capital campaign to develop and sustain the future Patsy Cline Museum.
• Objects in the CPC collection are examined by an independent professional museum curator for authenticity, value, and present condition in preparation for exhibition in the museum. Objects are cataloged for museum records for legal compliance, storage, and retrieval of items.
• CPC identifies as a primary goal: Focus efforts and fundraising towards the restoration and interpretation of 608 South Kent Street as a Historic House to focus on Patsy Cline and her family during the years 1948 to 1957.
• City of Winchester grants permit to CPC to proceed with its plans for the Historic House. The objective is to open the Historic House for tours and special events.
• Plans are in place to move forward with a future Patsy Cline Museum once the Historic House is open and operating.
